         Getting A Glimpse Into Creating Your Newborn~Childrens Portraits

 

 

1. The Initial Connection:

            Understanding Your Vision 

 

Our journey begins with getting to know each other, and most importantly understanding your vision. Don’t hesitate to share thoughts, concerns, or ideas you have for your Newborn~Childrens Portraits! 

 

• Your goals for the photo session – Are your photos for personal memories, social media, or something else? Are you interested in prints, canvases, digital files, an album or a combination? 

 

• Is there a theme, or do you want to include props – Are there any specific clothing colors, or perhaps a sports team theme? Is there a family blanket you would like to include, or a special stuffed animal? Are there any fun hats, or other accessories you want to add? 

 

 

 

2. Planning and Preparation:

            Communication Is The Focus

 

We will be communicating with each other to help things run smoothly on the day of your photo session. How much time will we need to create your vision? How many outfits do you want to include in your Newborn~Childrens Portraits? 

 

• Logistics – We’ll discuss location options and potential dates and times.

 

• Which session is best for you? – We have Basic, Classic and Deluxe Sessions.  These choices include different session lengths at different prices. Your Investment - Pricing

 

• Booking and Paperwork – Once you have decided on which session you would like and a date, I’ll send you some paperwork to look over and return with a $50.00 booking fee.  Then you will be officially booked! 

            

 

 

3. The Photo Session:

            Your Time In Front Of The Camera

 

During the photo session, my focus will be on creating a relaxed, comfortable and fun atmosphere.  I have years of experience, and can give you gentle guidance for posing your Newborn~Children.

 

• Lighting – It is all about the light! I will be looking for an area that provides the best lighting. Direct sunlight shining into a room may cause bright backlighting issues. We can look for a window in your home that will provide the right kind of lighting. We can also try something outside in full shade or full sun without dappled shade from trees. 

 

• Attention to detail – I’ll be paying attention to many different details. What is in the background affects the tone of the photo. How clothing lays, or fits is also important. 

 

• Breaks - Working with little people many times involves taking a few breaks.  Sometimes they need some calming time, or need a little snack. This is all part of the session. It is very important that everyone is comfortable so we can enjoy this special time.  

 

 

 

4. Delivery and Beyond:

            Receiving your images

Once the session is finished, I spend many hours editing your photos using professional editing tools to create your finished Newborn~Childrens Portraits.

 

• Online Gallery – It usually takes me a week or two to edit and create your Online Gallery.  You can share the link to your gallery with friends and family who might enjoy seeing the photos, or ordering their own photos.

 

• Products – I offer high-resolution digital files, as well as heirloom quality prints, canvases and albums from a professional printing service. The digital files are not included in all the session choices, and can be ordered individually. There are other products available like announcement cards, thank-you cards, keepsakes and holiday cards. 

 

• Continued Support – I will be available to help you thru the ordering process. My hope is that you have an enjoyable experience that will leave you with great memories, along with heirloom quality photos for your home that you will cherish for a lifetime.
